Types of Lenses
In standard lenses, offered just about everywhere, when one looks away from the center of the lens, inherent optical flaws appear, causing distortion and the “Coke bottle” effect. Freeform lenses minimize this optical restriction by broadening the clear center, so when the user looks to the sides, the clarity remains just as good as the center “sweet spot” of the lens. This design works on both single vision and multi-focal of any RX. Once you wear Freeform lenses, it becomes hard to switch to traditional designs thanks to the increased clarity.
WHAT IS BLUE LIGHT?
Blue and UltraViolet waves are both harmful to the eye (the retina in particular). We are exposed to both on a daily basis through our environment, and computer monitors. NuVue Eyecare offers two designs to minimize the damage these frequencies cause to our eyes and sleep rhythm. Retina Shield and Bluetech lenses are proven solutions. These two designs are not a coating, but a material that is chemically embedded into the lens and designed to block most of the harmful rays. Dr. Gavami recommends these products to children and adults for protection and longevity of their eye health and better sleep.
